ABOUT
TAVON DUDLEY
Tavon (Tvizion) Dudley was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Through comic books he was exposed to the art form known as Creative Writing at an early age. Although he read many comics, the X- Men was his absolute favorite. He truly enjoyed characters, personalities and how they relate to one another. From there he ventured into novels particularly Ann Rice’s Vampire Chronicles. He dabbled in writing his own comics and stories for a bit, even created a short story called “The First Kiss” inspired by Ann Rice’s “Interview with a Vampire”.
In turn “The First Kiss” was used by his High School English teacher to demonstrate a story written in 1st person.( For at least that school year as far as he knows) but in ’99 he was summoned by the Acting gods. So for years to come he participated in Off – Broadway Plays, such as Hedda Gabler, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Christmas Carol and a few others. He even touched on a Modeling gig for a year. As he pursued an acting career, ” The Kiss” bloomed into a concept and then a screenplay with no dialogue called “Born Damned”. Although he enjoyed acting, he was convinced that he needed to find a more stable career. Tavon went to a Graphic Design school. For a couple of years he thought graphic design could be something he would enjoy doing. But it did not have the same pull that his other ventures had. Eventually ending his pursuit to be a graphic designer. He took on ordinary jobs at BlockBuster Video and later Regal Cinemas. This exposed him to more stories and worlds. Helping him develop his concept of “Born Damned” even further. Years pass as Tavon pieces together his story, and in 2017 he published his first novel “Born Damned.”
